I had deactivated my account because of all the nonsense going around on social post the Kirk stuff. I might still deactivate it again or change my username still. But I realized it did miss some of the local stuff I was hearing about here. Though my general wellbeing has been better.

Whew boy will I be complaining about this to everyone that will pick up the phone including my congressperson’s office and my senators. I got a $36.25 bill on $75 of purchase before the person exception was removed AND I have 7 days to pay or I get a 9.9% late fee.

My favorite version of this is: respect can mean "acknowledge my humanity" or "recognize my authority". So when someone in power says "If you don't respect me, I won't respect you" they often mean "If you don't recognize my authority, I won't acknowledge your humanity." And oof. That stuck with me.
