Train Dreams was a thoughtful movie. Each of us has a little life in the midst of time that just keeps going, and everything is connected.

I worry about this all the time with my dad, who is also helping with his own dad (a cruel universe has him alive at 105). It also takes 24 hour care assistants not covered by insurance.

Boo, acquitted after he was the one who escalated the whole encounter.
Jurors in Ohio are hearing closing arguments in the case of an officer who killed a pregnant Black woman in a supermarket parking lot. Ta'Kiya Young, 21, was suspected of shoplifting when Connor Grubb shot her in 2023. bit.ly/4o0xZ9H

Aww, I just read a letter of recommendation in which a professor described a student as the heart of the class.

when you tell the military to follow the Constitution and the president responds by melting down and threatening to have you killed, kinda makes you wonder whether he wants the military to follow the Constitution

It is nuts that the president is threatening death over something so fundamentally American and patriotic.
We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.

The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.

Don’t give up the ship.

Nothing says “of course I would never give illegal orders” like “we should hang people who suggest I would give illegal orders”.

The thing is, the public will never stop fighting Trump on this if it becomes clear that he's still covering his ass.
Critics are skeptical that Trump’s intention to sign the bill requiring the release of the Epstein files into law is genuine. “There is simply no mechanism to verify whether the Trump administration withholds, buries, or scrubs the most damaging material,” said Political Wire’s Taegan Goddard.
Congress Passes Bill on Releasing Epstein Files as Questions Swirl Over Trump’s Next Moves
The measure to release the files passed with near-unanimous support in both the House and Senate.

It's not a foolproof plan but every political debate from now on should be a Normal Guy competition. Ask them to describe grocery shopping in detail. Talk about what it's like to have a friend

One of the worst things about being a teenage girl is unwanted sexual attention from adult men when you haven't even adjusted to your own body post-puberty. I have zero patience for the defense of that.

This is a beautiful documentary about someone fully embracing life even as it slipped away.
Apple TV's Come See Me in the Good Light is raw, funny, and deeply human, a portrait of a poet squeezing every last drop out of life while dying. André Hereford's review digs into the film’s blunt honesty and surprising warmth.

I just started it as well. Been waiting for months, and it is gorgeous.
Well, Come See Me in the Good Light wrecked me with its beauty, wisdom, and aliveness— like I knew it would. I feel so lucky I got to be alive at the same time as Andrea Gibson. What a human. ✨

We have a solar project scheduled. Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill" ends the solar tax credit on 12/31 (was supposed to last until 2034). The installer hit delay, so we lose thousands in credit. The installer is trying to eat part of the difference, making their company lose money. Trump's economy.
