So, just to repeat, there is literally one economist in the world cheering this tariff war: Peter Navarro, and his theories are not only crackpot, but rest on the work of a scholar that he made up.

I don't think it's being talked about enough that Trump is basing his tariff assaults on Peter Navarro, and Navaro's theories rest on the "research" of "Ron Varo" which is an economist he made up and cited for decades: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP-e...

Whenever this all ends, and who knows when that will be, the United States is going to need a Truth & Reconciliation Commission. There has to be a full accounting of the wrongdoing and the collaborators.

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode the deficit.

3) Demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.

4) Repeat.

They're trying to get away with it again.

You don’t have to have every answer. Doing what you can is critical.

We need fuckloads of people doing okay at and trying to getting better at fighting facism. We need every person we can get to be the bystanders intervening.

Break the surface tension. This isn’t normal. Say so. Act like it.

The guy even looks like a creep. ::shiver::
Not a drag queen.
Not a trans person simply trying to exist in peace.

This is who comes after your children: Republican men who hide behind a cross and wrap themselves in the flag.

We need to protect our kids from Justin Eichorn and people like him who prey on them.

This is such fantastic news. Seeing the way that Judge Reyes acted during the hearings, I am not surprised - she saw right through their bullshit. The fight isn't over for our trans friends in the military, but this is an important victory.
INCREDIBLE Ruling!

Judge Reyes just ruled that transgender people have served honorably in the military, judges Trumps trans military ban - which states trans people are inherently dishonorable - as unconstitutional and motivated by animus.

Trans military members may continue to serve.

Looks like we’ve officially joined the ranks of the People’s Republic of China—one leader, one face. Welcome to the new era of state-sponsored narcissism.

He said he couldn't sleep from threats he was receiving.
He even wrote that he feared ICE "might come to my home."

Senator Mark Kelly was commander of the Space Shuttle. He flew four missions to space. He flew 39 combat missions in Iraq. He went to visit Ukraine for himself & is calling for its freedom to be defended.

So, Elon Musk brands him a "traitor".

I’m careful with language on this site.

Fuck Musk.

UPDATE—Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.
