Go share more Black voices, more Black content, follow more Black folks especially within your own marginalizations (Disability, trans, etc.) because unless you actively try, you’ll fall back on systemic biases against Black folks.

We got an @theonion.com article about the returned water levels yet?

Thinking something like: With Rising Waterline, Desert Townspeople Rejoice the Return of Water-wasting Activities

One extra layer of dystopia here is that the company’s chief product officer encouraged the student who was falsely accused to provide feedback to the company so the company can improve their product.
I spoke with a UC Davis student whose life was upended for two weeks after she was accused of using AI to write a paper. In the stressful process of trying to clear her name, she found out the detection tool was brand new and not as reliable as it seems.
She Was Falsely Accused of Cheating With AI — And She Won’t Be the Last
College student with homework flagged as AI-written by a new Turnitin detection tool had to fight to clear her name.

Bumping really hard into the counter at a coffee shop, to the point where a stack of to-go lids falls over. I push my Apple VR goggles up onto my forehead, betraying no embarrassment, and ask for the bathroom code.

I’d be interested to know the % since a lot of industries are in strike or on the edge of one.

General strike would be easier if people who know how to strike are leading.

In my hands is a signed launch day Xbox 360. Looking up, Bill Gates is smiling at me. Everybody in Best Buy is smiling.

I take off my Apple Vision. I am back in the retirement home. Nobody has visited me for 16 years. I put it back on.

I hug the Xbox 360. Everybody in Best Buy is smiling

Saw this bit coming - too much trauma
i feel like people get here from twitter with a bunch of latent aggression like soldiers coming back from the war to polite society, but they can't fit in because all they know how to do is kill

Daily mammal fact:

This adorable species of hyena is the aardwolf. Unlike the other species in their family they mostly eat termites! They scoop them out with their long sticky tongue.

They live in big complex burrows as pairs with their offspring.

I created a sensory deprivation room in my office. It's a suspended cocoon tent. Very cozy, very quiet. If you're in Portland, I highly recommend trying it out!
