People who defend video games price increases with “Prices haven’t gone up since the 90’s” seem to never have heard of Economies of Scale. Not to mention Deluxe, Collector’s, Ultimate editions or DLC/micro-transactions. Or record profits. Or executive bonus packages.
Been waiting years for this…

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Reviewers score games, often, as if they start by deserving a 10 and flaws detract from that score (as opposed to admirable qualities driving up a score). This results in highly polished, bland games getting high scores and highly creative, but flawed games getting mediocre scores. I like a 7 game.

The combination of IGN giving Silent Hill f a 7/10 and @tamoorh.com saying it's 10-12 hours is making this game absolutely irresistible, in case you are ever marketing a game specifically to me
the ideal score!!!!

Silent Hill f's new setting, story, and art design stand out, but its early combat seems like too much of a chore to be fun.

Counterpoint: INHERENT VICE was the best film released that year and grows with every rewatch. It is sly and literate and deeply felt and utterly unconcerned with whether or not you get it.
Oh, still don’t know about what’s the worst tv show I’ve sat all the way through, but Inherent Vice is handily the worst movie I’ve sat all the way through, just an exercise in wandering up your own ass, but without any of the fun or drama or comedy that might entail.

Ubisoft created a great detective/assassin game set in feudal Japan, filled its vast open world with 100+ targets, loaded the world with clues to find them...

... then undermined all of that by giving the player x-ray vision at the press of L2

Tip: Never press it, and the game is radically better!

Loving others is the easiest fucking thing in the world. Hate is hard. Hate eats you up inside. Hate hollows you out. Love recharges you. Love can get you through anything. And loving a complete stranger is a lot easier than you think. It may sound corny as hell, but choose love.

AI could have been successful if it had been treated as a science and developed with rigorous ethical standards focused on solving problems for humanity instead of being treated as a speed run on an exploitative capitalist growth tool focused on solving problems for trillion dollar corporations.

We now played through Super Mario Bros. Wonder 1.0.1 on older Switch 2 firmware (20.1.0) and were able to beat it without issues. There seems to be zero reason why this game is blocked from playing off card from firmware 20.2.0 onwards. Absolute none!

I would have paid $100 for this set (or even $40 for each game individually) if they had released them physically. There’s no physical PS5 for LiS1, Before the Storm, LiS2, and LiS2 doesn’t even have a proper physical AT ALL (last episode was always a download).
Life is Strange Collection (PS5) up for preorder at Square Enix Store ($59.99)https://buff.ly/CvnK033

Box set contains a disc with True Colors and Double Exposure. Redemption code for LiS Remastered, Before the Storm Remastered, LiS2, and all associated DLC & pre-order incentive items

Michael Madsen leaves behind plenty of indelible work. Dude was bigger than life onscreen. For my money, his best performance is in KILL BILL VOL. 2. Bud is haunted, and it felt like Madsen at his most vulnerable, especially considering how little vulnerability he ever showed on camera.

I was 19 or 20 when I first read GOD BLESS YOU, MR. ROSEWATER. Just finished reading it again, for what must be the fourth time, and Vonnegut's tale of capitalism run amok in a world in desperate need of kindness and compassion is more relevant than ever. One of my all-time favorite novels.

So, the crazy thing I attempted to do was a more Steve Ditko-style Spider-Man with Jack Kirby-style coloring along with a John Romita-style MJ. Venom was all me.

Here’s a Romita pinup that Kirby colored which I used for inspiration.
