ICE is using Clearview AI, the controversial facial recognition tool that Illinois law enforcement is barred from using.

There’s apparently few guardrails.

A DHS face recognition policy was wiped from the internet in February. Other pages were archived or disappeared

This administration clearly is land to weaponize the grand jury process even more than has been done in recent years.

We have some resources that can understand what a grand jury is and help you be prepared
The alleged "victim" in the Kat Abughezaleh indictment was wearing civilian dress. The car is described as govt vehicle, but no description of it being marked.

Based on this indictment and several others, we see that the government has empaneled a grand jury to look into activities that inconvenience ICE in any way in an attempt to criminalize Chicagoans.

I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

The forced kidnappings of our neighbors in Chicago can inflict some deep psychological pain. We must resist this urge and find waits to keep fighting. My latest on faith, solidarity, and reflections on seeing one take place in @truthout.org.

Police used Flock cameras to search for a woman who self-administered an abortion, said it was for her 'safety'. But they lied and documents show they considered charging her with a crime as part of a 'death investigation' for the fetus.

Police Said They Surveilled Woman Who Had an Abortion for Her 'Safety.' Court Records Show They Considered Charging Her With a Crime
Court records show that the narrative Flock and a Texas Sheriff's Office has told the public isn't the whole story, and that police were conducting a 'death investigation' into the abortion.

The last few weeks, we've been working to connected with the family of the person taken by ICE and are building a campaign to get his out.

But he was the only person working for his wife and kids and we need to raise money for a lawyer and his family's living expenses.

The entire *value* of the ALPR network derives from mass collection and mass data sharing (i.e. the network effect) between Flock's clients.

The *economics* dictate that they will share data with the Feds again and again and again.

It's cool that we have an attorney general filing dozens of federal lawsuits with like 20 other states against the Trump agenda, but it's perplexing that there seems to be no appetite to investigate multiple potential TRUST Act violations here at home.
We're told Broadview police quickly arrived on site to monitor and intimidate activists.

This tracks with previous responses from ICE agents inside to very scary scenes of...small groups praying and chalking:
On June 6, federal agents called suburban police for backup at the ICE facility in Broadview, IL.

An agent inside the facility who identified herself as "Officer Riley" called 911 to request help with protesters.

The 911 dispatcher commiserates with her, and adds, "hats off to ya!"
