ITS SHUT THE FUCK UP FRIDAY

This is a very important message you should share with the people in your life that may be hitting the streets to protest: never talk to the police! WATCH:

Most people with Covid brain damage do not know they have Covid brain damage or don’t link their persistent new onset cognitive problems with a Covid infection. Same with post-Covid increased aggression - people don’t realize they’ve changed but standardized evaluation picks it up

Democratic elected officials & pundits LOVE to tell voters to put "X, Y, Z" behind them and "move on." This means that they never, ever, ever address X, Y, Z. This is a significant reason the country is where it is. For ex, Obama came in saying "we're not looking back" and man was that wrong.

I just want everyone to have the experience of living in dignity with access to sufficient food, safe housing, needed medical care, high quality education, and time to engage with what sparks their curiosity and spirit

this should not be controversial 🫠

Honestly, I don't care what people seeking assistance at food banks do for a living, whether they work or not, what they drive, etc.

People are hungry. Give them food to eat. Plain and simple.

4 grounding questions [if useful at this moment]:

1. What resources exist so I can better educate myself [about x issue]?
2. Who's already doing work around this injustice?
3. Do I have the capacity to offer concrete support & help to them?
4. How can I be constructive?

Taking a swipe at the white gamer bros who support the Republican party is an interesting choice.

But, while we're here, Medicaid is intened for people who CAN'T AFFORD PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE. What you do, or don't do, SHOULDN'T MATTER when it comes to getting health care.
Mike Johnson says Medicaid is "intended for vulnerable populations, the elderly, disabled, and young pregnant women, and not young able-bodied men without dependents who are playing video games."

ICE in Chicago detained two people (that we know of) for filming them today, a cyclist and a neighborhood rapid responder. This in addition to tear gassing another neighborhood and brandishing weapons at rapid response—both things that have also already been going on for weeks.

My latest is the story of how my community has rallied to protect and defend our neighbors in recent days, as ICE has targeted the Rogers Park neighborhood in Chicago. "This is not a story about a moment of victory, but a moment of being reminded of our power."
They Came for Our Neighbors. We Showed Up.
Before long, there were dozens, and then hundreds of people in the streets, watching and responding.

This may be one of the worst ICE deportation stories I’ve ever fucking read.
After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Depraved.
