Yeah ... because employees understand that AI can't be trusted (we've all seen the mistakes!) whereas execs only care about the cost savings 😕
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

NSW Police proudly wasting millions on this next-to-useless police vessel “Nemesis” which has been cruising Newcastle Harbour trying to intimidate climate protestors this weekend.

Your tax dollars being flushed. Ohhh and Labor wants to buy a new one for a cool $46.5 million.

Since when do Americans “do business “with their government in this fashion?
How did the @nytimes.com editors let this sentence appear?

"Critics have likened Mr. Trump’s approach to extortion, while others have chalked it up as a cost of doing business with this administration."

If a Liberal State Government was wrecking the Victorian #StateLibrary & trashing the services it exists to provide, ALP members might be protesting. As it is, pretty much crickets. If you don't save the State Library you're going to lose more seats to indies, Teals & Greens. Interested now? #vicpol

Very pleased to see that @greens.org.au have won an inquiry into job cuts at CSIRO

Would be great to see attention brought to bear on restructuring (cuts?) at the Australian Research Council too

Why these attacks on science in the public interest in Australia❓ Who does this serve❓

I’ve just been informed that not permitting scientific misinformation on my feed, including claims that SARS-CoV-2 is airborne HIV, is “tone policing”.

It’s actually fact-checking. I don’t give a shit who is posting misinformation or why. Zero tolerance.

This sets out the clear, bullet-point agreed plan that, if funded by Australian governments, would stop most ongoing family violence & make women & children way safer. Governments choose not to, while spending $60m on PNG men's rugby, $96m on crap BOMsite, millions on dicky consultants, etc.

I'm really enjoying the Festival of Pococks Making Sense.
How ludicrous for Labor to cut $5 billion in public services during a cost of living crisis. Every six months the government pays around $5b in Fuel Tax Credits to mining corporations to burn fossil fuels. If Labor is going to cut spending, cut handouts to fossil fuel barons.

It shows Nauru plans to send refugees to places they fled. No wonder the secrecy.
