I still love the part where the count comes back after war wearing the most out of place futuristic looking red armour i had ever seen and tells god to go fuck himself amd then gets to live forever as like this shapeshifting bisexual creature of intruigue with an army of naked ladies and wolves.
On this day, 33 years ago, Bram Stoker’s Dracula was released in cinemas.

Starring #GaryOldman, #WinonaRyder, #KeanuReeves and #AnthonyHopkins it was an Oscar-winning, critically acclaimed success and one of the most revered #vampire movies ever.

97/100 - Crafting for Sinners, Jenny Kiefer - Took me a bit to get on board, but this reads like its Temple of Doom but if Temple of Doom was set in Hobby Lobby and that is fun. #booksky 💙📚🩸

I read House of Monstrous Women by Daphne Fama. This was so good! Gothic, witchy with deep friendships, familial duty. Set in 1986 Philippines with People Power Revolution as the background Josephine must win a deadly game or lose everything. Highly recommend! @daphnefama.bsky.social #booksky💙📚🩸📚

One of the strongest anthologies I've read in a while, there's only one story that I'd call "bad", and the rest are enjoyable to amazing. No frills on this, just several well-chosen bangers all trying to be "tragic queer horror".

hi! tomorrow is my birthday.

i’ve written a children’s book about how land is indigenous land and a young readers book about the history of boarding schools.

now i’m writing a YA indigenous solarpunk novel about 100 years after #landback

for my birthday, i’m asking for help doing that.

A year from now my entire household will be living in the Denver area. My partner is making major life changes and is motivated to move. Me, I've been ready to leave OKC since 2019.

Also, he has gone three months without smoking cigarettes. I'm so proud!

Wanna hear a scary story?

The first American vampire was Black.

Seriously.

78 years before Dracula appeared in American literature, there was "The Black Vampyre" by Uriah D'Arcy.

It was written in 1819 as an antislavery critique and the effect the Haitian Revolution had on the States

Reading: WE CALL THEM WITCHES (Netgalley ARC). Post apocalyptic horror pitched as a sapphic melding of Stephen King + T. Kingfisher

Listening: THE LAMB
I guess this October’s horror theme is cannibalism (but make it lesbian)
