Immigrants are a social good, anti-immigrant propaganda is basically all lies, and any approach to the "problem" that doesn't start form those two points is worthless

“I don’t owe anybody anything!” Actually we are perhaps nothing but dizzyingly intricate webs of obligations to other beings and ourselves. The sheer weight of our obligations is all that keeps us from floating away into space. We can never do enough but we must try.

It all starts with Catwoman makes a very public pass at Superman, making both Batman and Lois jealous. Then Catwoman continues to flirt with all three of them. Meanwhile Robin and Jimmy Olsen bond over the ridiculousness and are in a committed relationship by the end.
a lot of the best superman stuff is romantic comedy and so there should absolutely be a Superman-vs-Batman where Bruce Wayne, charming billionaire playboy, hires Lois to work at his new media startup.
Why doesn’t Batman create a Gotham newspaper and hire away Lois lane to be Editor in chief?

I just learned the reason there are so many electric companies with Edison in their name is that Edison held a lot of patents they needed, and he would let companies use the patents if they included "Edison" in their name.

Yes. We must reject the idea that disability makes a person less worthy or valid or human.
I see some people responding by talking about autistic family members that are married and/or have jobs and y'all are missing the point

You don't have to date anyone or have a job to be a member of society. Even the most "severely" autistic individuals aren't a drain on society, they ARE society

As a cishet dude, when I see a Dem ditch trans rights, it sends a message: you ain't got no fight in you, no principles, just another empty suit.

Think I'm some too-online outlier? Go ask your expensive consultants why people don't bother to vote. It's because they know you're all empty suits.
This is basically the attitude of democrats up and down the ticket and it’s pathetic and unamerican
In a leaked recording, State Senator Elena Parent (D-42) said she’d vote for Republican transgender healthcare bans because trans rights are too “unpopular."

"You can go right to heck. I don’t think I will lose re-election based on you screaming at me"

@amyklobuchar.com your website lists protecting the civil rights of LGBTQ+ people as one of your key issues- better let your people know yo replace that with "the price of eggs".
Me, wondering if @amyklobuchar.com has spoken up to defend her colleague Sarah McBride, who was mercilessly targeted by the GOP just because she's trans.

We have a package of tickets for touring Broadway shows. We pick a fair number we don't know anything about, and go in cold, because surprises are fun, right? Parade sounds like a lighthearted romp, so child murder, a trial and a lynching were a bit of a shock.

There are rainX windshield wipers that treat your windshield with rainx, so water beads up and rolls off. It makes a huge difference in visibility when you're driving in the rain.
So hey, let’s start off 2025 maybe making somebody’s life better in a small tangible way. What is a small practical thing—object, lifehack, whatever—that solved a small annoyance for you?

For me, did you know you can buy clips with elastic specifically to hold the corner of your fitted sheet on?

This takes me back. When I was a brand new engineer back in the 90s, there was a hoax email going around that said Bill Gates would give you like $1 for every person you forwarded the email to. A secretary forwarded it to the site liftserv and the resulting reply storm lasted days. It was hilarious
omg a student somehow accidentally wrote an email addressed to a faculty-wide NYU listserv and my inbox is now a master class on who understands the difference between a listserv and an email chain
