Agreed. Also asking an LLM means you aren't asking a person and building a relationship with someone. Parenting an infant can be incredibly isolating and asking for advice is one way to begin to create/find a parenting community.

Pumpkin bars are dangerously close to Thanksgiving cake.

I may relisten while I clean before Thanksgiving. The way kids were denied proper reading instruction is so infuriating it's helpful to have somewhere to direct my anger.

Or delicious?

This is cheap, tasty, fast, and it's easy to keep the ingredients on hand. Also, it's vegan if you leave out the sour cream garnish.https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/14132/black-bean-and-salsa-soup/

Because most people know not to leave 4 star reviews, most 4 star reviews come from clueless people who are complaining about things outside the control of what they're supposed to be reviewing. e.g. "The Airbnb was great, but it rained the whole time we were there."

I own a business and someone left a review complaining about terrible customer service. I reached out to learn more, and discovered that she didn't feel they were "warm enough". They were polite and helpful, but she wanted her ass kissed too. She was very upset. I decided to let her be.

The night Max wore his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind and another, his mother called him "WILD THING!" and Mac said, "I'LL EAT YOU UP!" so he was sent to bed without eating anything. Congress has not authorized the use of military force.

It would be nice to know what the "well-established internal processes" are, and whether they ever lead to actual change.

And there's nothing better for a date than obviously wearing a camera on your face.

I'm guessing they'll handle it like razors- there will be a bunch of different styles intended for men and one cheap pink version for the ladies. 🫠

Those were great conferences!
September 17, 2025 at 6:52 PM
I have but they were education conferences, so the gender balance leaned heavily female. Actually I have attended some local one day tech conferences, and they were ok, but I still skipped the happy hour.

It's an interesting gender-switched version of the rural cozy murder show with a decent mystery at the center. And it's funny.

Have you seen Deadloch?

Calling it a thriller is a stretch, but Redford was a standout in the Perry Mason episode he appeared in way back when.

At least half forget to vote. More if it's rainy. I'm guessing Oliver hasn't voted in decades and Charles only votes if his current girlfriend makes him.

The wall covering behind the toilet is wavy. Could it be sound baffling? The toilet placement is uncomfortable, but highlighting it with a contrasting wall covering makes it worse.

I would love to understand why she thought that was ok. I am imagining either she's unaware of the work people put into having pretty flower gardens or she's contemptuous of people who can afford that level of leisure, but I am open to another perspective.

Some advice that sounds ridiculous but I found helpful: if you are feeling sad they're gone, pretend they are in their bedroom. Also, congrats on being unsupervised!
