One of the evident failures of the FF and FG party candidates in the Presidential election was their inability to articulate what either party was for.

These are hollow vessels, whose policies are largely set by outside forces.

An organised external lobby can simply slot their preferred policy in

Ireland has one of the best and most genre-diverse music scenes in the world, but there’s a lack of clear and well-resourced funding pathways.

Many musicians are dealing with constant financial precariousness.

I wrote about the need for a large, dedicated music fund distributed at a local level.

I don’t think that RTE should uncritically report that 5000+ landlords are now selling their rentals properties or having a relative move in. They have sent notices to quit, but there’s no way to check the veracity of the claim behind it.

I thought I was pretty cynical about "The West" but the top of the US establishment being riddled with child abuse enthusiasts being blackmailed by Mossad and European conservativism being WW3 curious and either indifferent to or supportive of genocide has made me feel frankly naive.

If you’re out here wringing your hands writing articles about why a bloke who thinks immigrants get free cars wrote “cunt” on his ballot paper, instead of writing articles about the well funded fascists who ran a campaign aimed at that guy, then you have no business pretending to be a journalist

Since the far right race riot where immigrant families were threatened, Garda were attacked, and a Garda van was set on fire, have you heard our senior politicians talk more about the rioters, or immigration?

As we await a verdict in the trial of Soldier F, another reminder that in 2010 the Bloody Sunday inquiry found

- the killings were unjustified
- none of the 14 dead (7 of whom were children) had guns
- no warnings were given
- no soldiers were under threat
- the troops were the first to open fire

It committed genocide against the Jewish people - far from its only genocide.

It forced Palestinians to pay the price, viciously silencing anyone who objects
