ICE told Emerson Colindres, who just graduated HS, to get fitted for ankle monitor. It was a trick. They put him in Butler Jail to deport him bc he has path to legal status. If his family gives OK, I’ll share more. Hear from his mom + soccer coach in Cincinnati. www.fox19.com/video/2025/0...

🚨NEW: @cbsnews.com reports ICE is arresting people who can't even legally be deported and holding them without enough food or water in a federal building BASEMENT in Los Angeles.

Families dutifully attending check-ins with ICE are being arrested and held for days, forced to sleep on the floor.

I think people who are drawn to ABA and related professions were in school and learned about the marshmallow study and realized they could get paid to do the same thing with vulnerable autistic kids

if the anger over the economy was that intractable, it felt to me a far better angle would be for dems to pick a target to blame for a bad economy - plenty of good ones, we're rich in them that deserve it! - instead of telling us "everything's great you ungrateful jackals", but. they wouldn't.

And on point #2, we must start by refusing to whitewash lists like this as a plausible, well-meaning agenda for science. There are no simple formulas for good science. There are no universally applicable checklists. There is not one scientific method. There is no gold standard science.
2 At first glance, section 3 might look like a really good thing. A lot of these are pillars of the science reform movement. But we've already seen these principles used for the purpose of agnogenesis—creating doubt around scientific findings to stave off regulation or push a political agenda.

3. They never look at harm. Look at the attrition in all studies. Particularly the ones that show mild, statistically significant changes in certain standardized test scores only... nothing functionally relevant.

The stakes could not be higher in today's SCOTUS hearing. Allowing the unconstitutional effort to end birthright citizenship to take effect in a fractured way would lead to chaos. A child born in one state would be considered a citizen, while a child born the same day in another might not.
