For Night 13 of Scorsese Fest, I watched THE LAST WALTZ.

Timeless doc that's also somehow a time capsule.

Bittersweet now, too, w/ Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, and others gone.

Emmylou Harris stands out even among the extraordinary guests and the "I Shall Be Released" finale´ still hits hard.

Per the Stanford's Open Medicine Foundation, which is the gold standard for post-infectious disease specialists, we're now up to 200,000,000 persons on earth w/ #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis &/or #LongCovid.

Anyone can get ME or LC.

B/c of persistent underfunding, we still don't even have a treatment.
Today, hundreds of millions face #MECFS & #LongCOVID without FDA-approved treatments. Until December 2, your support goes 3X further to advance critical research and bring us closer to answers.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance🏳️‍⚧️
If you haven’t already seen it, I highly recommend THE DEATH AND LIFE OF MARSHA P. JOHNSON.

Wrenching, seminal doc on Marsha P. Johnson and, to a lesser degree, Sylvia Rivera.

Each paid a HUGE price for being trans and for fighting at Stonewall.

American heroes.

At Trader Joe's earlier, the staffers were once again SO kind💛

They placed my basket on the checkout counter for me.

After they bagged my food, they helped me fit the bags onto my walker.

I already thanked them, but wanted to give a public shout out, too.

They never get angry that I'm disabled.

Right now in the U.S., men's health receives twice the research dollars as women's health.

And then you read about SO many despicable male researchers whose projects--not necessarily health related, but still--were funded by Jeffrey Epstein.

Women die b/c of this shit.

Just revolting.

The Boston Globe uncovers still MORE ties between MIT and Jeffrey Epstein.

Researcher Joscha Bach wrote horribly racist and misogynistic emails to Epstein.

Like, just get your research $ and *not* hate over half the global population, asshole:

Joscha Bach, an AI researcher, worked at the MIT Media Lab from 2014 to 2016. He was hired in large part because of Jeffrey Epstein’s donations.

“This was not a harmless mistake. It was the direct result of callous and chaotic policies by the Trump administration,” said Gov. Dan McKee. "Moreover, ICE’s failure to exercise even a shred of due diligence is shameful and underscores just how broken and dangerous these federal policies are.”
ICE agents “surrounded the judge’s car and demanded everyone to exit the vehicle, threatening to smash in the windows if they did not comply.”

Justice Frat Boy: “If the person is a US citizen or otherwise lawfully in the United States, that individual will be free to go after the brief encounter.”

Behind this important reversal is a member of the Coast Guard who saw what was happening and had the courage to leak it to the press. That person deserves serious praise.

The FBI infiltrated an encrypted chat of immigration court watchers in New York. Then it issued intelligence calling them violent extremists—terrorists.

As I told @theguardian.com, this targeting of people who show up for immigrants is straight COINTELPRO:

This family has already been through so much. If anyone so much as sneezes on Sen. Mark Kelly, I swear to god...
Kelly: "I never expected after serving 25 years in the Navy flying combat missions over Iraq and Kuwait, flying the Space Shuttle, that now I've got to worry about my personal safety and that of my wife, Gabby Giffords, who was already nearly assassinated, because of something the president said."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
