The bad news is that it appears CBS News has fallen.

The good news is that independent media has been ready for this moment.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has tanked and Republican suffered heavy losses in last week’s elections. There’s never been a better time for Senate Democrats to cave on the ACA extension.

Beautiful, wistful, eloquent breakdown of the NY Times’s bad-faith pretense of journalism.
Maybe Don’t Talk to the New York Times About Zohran Mamdani
It’s remarkable, the people you’ll hear from. Teach for even a little while at an expensive institution—the term they tend to prefer is “elite”—and odds are that eventually someone who was a studen…

Hey NY Times--

It is still a "fringe theory" -- every court has rejected it.

There is still a "broad consensus" -- John Eastman is a disgraced lawyer under indictment.

The only thing that has changed is the Times.

This is key, because low-information voters are a big reason he got into office in the first place.
Partisanship often blinds us to objective reality; even when it hurts us.

But, less engaged voters typically hold weaker partisan commitments. So, they may be responding to real declines in their quality of life under Pres. Trump.
New piece: Trump’s approval rating among low-engagement voters has fallen 30 points since Jan, the worst decline for any group. The GOP’s big advantage with hard-to-reach voters has evaporated as economic turmoil & toxic politics turns them away from Trump

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Liberals and progressives are the only ones with any agency, according to most political discourse. You *never* hear about a conservative need to understand liberals. It’s always on the left to fix things.
This is what everyone always means when they complain about "polarization"

The largest office-to-residential conversion in American history, at 25 Water St., is almost done. (1,300 units!)

Includes affordable apartments. Rents as low as $1,166 for a 2-bed.

HPD lottery open now: housingconnect.nyc.gov/PublicWeb/de...

We need to do this in many, many more buildings.

It's not too late for Mr. Schumer to do the right thing. A quick statement that he just wanted to avoid catastrophe, in good faith, but after careful consideration and thoughtful deliberation with colleagues, voting "no" is the right move.

Extraordinary moment — Nancy Pelosi issues a statement calling on Democratic senators to reject the House funding bill, i.e. to defy Chuck Schumer.

"Democratic senators should listen to the women," she says, referring to Murray/DeLauro who want a 1-month stopgap bill instead.

I'm voting NO on the Republican shutdown bill.

NO on handing Donald Trump and Elon Musk a blank check to spend your taxpayer money however they want.

NO on cutting funding that helps families put food on the table and crack down on wealthy tax cheats.

We need to push back.

Homelessness is a policy choice. We could chose to decimate it!
“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me
In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.
