It's hard to write about funerals, so suffice to say we said goodbye to Vince's mum today. The flowers were perfect for her cheerful optimism, and the words said showed just how deeply loved she was. We are exhausted right now 🥀💛

So, this is is what I've been getting up to over the past two years!
This is book 1 of 'The Summer Realm' series: 'Secrets of Agents and Lies' 🖤
It's clever, funny, witty, sad, magic, and beautiful! Myself, Michael Wombat, Miranda Kate, and Victoria Pearson have put together this very original tale!

I made a grid today as I sat in the warm sunlight.

A Crystal Grid for Joy, Growth, and Connection

Centred with a Crazy Lace Agate Moon for joy and optimism, surrounded by Acorn cups to offer strength and growth, and Moss Agate Towers for nature, abundance, and self-awareness.

Just watched Kathryn Bigelow's 'A House of Dynamite' on Netflix, an incredibly taut and high stakes movie with chilling credibility in the days that we live.

What are the choices the governments of the world would consider and make with the sudden threat of a missile heading straight for them?

I hope she's doing just this 🖤
‘Death remains my intimate shadow partner. It has been with me since birth, always hovering close by. I understand one day we will finally waltz together into the ether. I hope when that time comes, I die with the satisfaction of a life well-lived, unapologetic, joyful, & full of love.’

We all need to read things like this, daily 💙
🧵Spotted at a Vintage Christmas Market in Aotearoa New Zealand:

A woman (50s?) in a floral dress wraps her arm around her friend's waist, grinning cheekily: "Shall we go in the shop over there and gasp at the prices?"
Her friend laughs: "Yes!"
They wander off, heads bowed together. (1)

I feel like utter, absolute, crappy shit, having got flu on top of a partial dislocated shoulder. I wish it was literally on top of my shoulder because I'd just flick it off, with the good hand on the good arm 🫩

So, it would only be me who managed to slip down several stairs at 3am and sublux my shoulder. The same shoulder I injured years ago doing the same thing!

The crunch and pop in my shoulder as it slipped out of its socket and then back in again was horrific 😔

My Mother-in-law passed away a week ago, and today I caught Lewis Capaldi's 'Something in the Heavens' on my playlist and it made me tear up. So I wrote something. I left out a while to post, because I didn't want to invade their grief. My MIL was the strongest most passionate fighter I've known.

Did u know? This is one of the most important organisms on earth - moss. It's amazing what it does to maintain healthy ecosystems. It minimises soil erosion; captures carbon; harbours tiny souls in its unique habitat & filters & purifies water & air in its dense structure - make room for moss. 🌱🌿🇬🇧🌱🌍🦠

We do not have a problem of unquenchable need.
We have a problem of unquenchable greed.
79% of homes sold in Dublin this year were bought by landlords, 75% by large landlords. About 1 in 5 TDs are landlords.

This is disgusting dog whistling. The problem has never been people seeking asylum. The problem is people seeking to endlessly profit from folks just looking for a home.
🗣️ "The one thing that there is a problem with is housing right across the state, and the more that come to seek asylum, the more pressure it puts on that system.” - Fianna Fáil Minister of State Timmy Dooley

Hi, I’m God.

Jesus and I agree that starving the poor so you can build yourself golden bathrooms and golden ballrooms is evil. Anyone who does that shall burn for eternity. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thanks,

I hate how successive governments have allowed our dentist accessibility to get so inaccessible. None of our kids can afford to go to the dentist, so they don't, and just cross their fingers that they'll be okay. But when they're not, there's still nothing they can do. And I hate how we can't help 😔
