I wrote this poem almost two years ago in honour of the children of Palestine, Sudan and Congo, as well as all other colonised nations around the globe. A refreshing story and an important reminder that even though antivaxx parents suck the oxygen out of every conversation, an overwhelming majority of parents still want and seek out vaccines to protect their children from diseases.

Trump is using the Alien Enemies Act to deport a refugee artist who came here for asylum. If all you need to deport someone is a baseless accusation, it could happen to literally anyone. This is not a country. It’s an authoritarian military state.
