Proud to be in this anthology! If you hear of a bus abandoned deep in the woods in NYS, I recommend you don't go "Digging for the Disappeared."

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

The Invitation, The Dark and the Wicked, and The Coffee Table are absolute bangers. The Invitation makes my Top Ten list of all-time faves. The Dark and the Wicked is exactly what its title implies and I loved the ambiguity. The Coffee Table? 😳 Some of the best acting I've ever seen.

Airports have fancy biometric screening systems and all that, but every announcement at your gate still sounds like a 1950s recording of a bear farting into a traffic cone.

I know many new writers worry about how readers will receive their work. That’s a valid concern! That said, two things:

1. This gig is only worth it if you write what YOU want.

2. Some will hate your stuff, but some will like it. Your readers. They’re awesome. Write for them.

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

Re: #SNAP loss - everyone seems to focus on families with kids, and rightly so, but people, please check on your #elderly neighbors. They may not be as connected or aware, they might not drive, and the need will be significant. Please make sure they have access to #food as best you can.

I have volunteered for a local food project for a long time. The main food banks have arrangements with a variety of suppliers. A dollar donated to a food bank feeds more people than dollars spent directly on groceries donated. Food banks, pantries, and projects always need volunteers as well.

Please remember that, as people lose their SNAP benefits, pets are at risk of being abandoned. Please donate to your local food pantry--food for humans AND their animal family members. Of course, monetary donations will help immensely.
