This is a really sick story.

From everything I know, Boston’s Logan Airport is a legitimately dangerous place to travel through.

If you need a whistle in Somerville, stop by Gracie’s. If you need A LOT of whistles that’s probably ok too.

Just heard about this huge (49 state) long covid trial using tirzepetide (aka zepbound) one of the newer glp meds. It’s run by researchers at scripps, funded by the eric & wendy schmidt foundation. It looks like it is still enrolling, fully remote participation:

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

Update: In Medford, all but one of the progressive slate won, 12 out of 13 seats. Glad to see my neighbors approved of the progressives by a wide margin.
Keeping an eye on local elections around Boston, where NIMBYs are pushing back against moves to liberalize zoning to create more housing in Cambridge, Somerville, and where I live in Medford. Almost no coverage in local press but similar issues, including objections to bike paths.
