Yeah, C++31 fixes this entire problem with `std::symmetric_pair<std::joint_protector<std::joint<std::distal_to<std::dem_bones::pelvis> > > >` so idk why everyone's complaining

legends z-a is a terrific game with an awful bullshit entirely unfun ending. it is so tedious, long, and self flagellating; touting you as the strongest trainer in the world while you have to use like 20 revives to beat a single pokemon!!!!!!!!! I have a dodgeroll but my fucking idiot pokemon don’t!

I'm stressed because I've been overworking, I'm overworking because I'm using it as a distraction, I'm seeking a distraction because I'm avoiding other shit, which I'm avoiding because it stresses me out.

It's not a loop, it's a spiral.

today I deleted like 10k lines of other people's code and called it a fork: github.com/aslilac/call...

it does also tweak a few behaviors (like not requiring down migrations, and allowing the ".up" part of the filename to be omitted in such cases), so it's not entirely pointless. but it is funny!

I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.
I Am An AI Hater
I am an AI hater. This is considered rude, but I do not care, because I am a hater.

I think Homebrew is the perfect example of a slight twist on the Bjarne quote "There are only two kinds of [programming] languages: the ones people complain about and the ones nobody uses".

There are only two kinds of package managers: the ones people complain about and the ones nobody uses.

Skimming through a preprint on the risks of using LLMs as therapists, then reading tech commenters who were even less thorough.

Aside from “the poor demand harmful crumbs”, there’s a surprising amount of folks claiming they’re too informed to be harmed—the “not me, I’m built different” defence.
