I cannot begin to explain the amount of times I’ve tried to brainstorm the next major step of my campaign (a heist segment) and I’ve either gotten sidetracked doing something else like creating a calendar for my world or I’ve just completely forgotten what I was meant to be doing
50% of my brain is telling me I should sleep, 50% is telling me I should do some writing for my new D&D campaign and my response to both is to do neither and just sit here staring at my phone. The fuck is that all about?

Literally only reason I even still have Twitter is the groups I want to get quick updates from aren’t here yet. My engagement was basically people I knew or people I had friends in common with, but even that died once it was under new management. It’s just a newsfeed from a couple people for me now

Here i mainly just chat and instead spend the time posting on TikTok/Youtube which are a pain as they cost more time and what works on one doesn’t the other…but each one has some content that hits and helps.

I deleted my Twitter page the day I came here. I had some twinges. I built a decent following & once had lots of engagement on Musker.
Once Elmo seized power, engagement cratered. NO one saw my posts, except bots. My feed was full of unleashed nazis.
There's nothing useful left there.

I just want one western RPG to be brave enough to be like "You can't romance *any* of the companions. No, it's not about sexualities. No, it's not that there's no romance in the story. Sorry, they just don't find you in particular that attractive. Maybe focus on work instead?"

I think I get sucked into social media so easily because it feels like a subtle rebellion from working so much. It's the one thing I do that's always a complete waste of time, and by God I think I've earned that.

I feel there's gotta be a very interesting game design/sociology study into how DnD as a fandom somehow makes people deeply defensive of like.. anything said about it?
Cos holy shit people get so defensive about like.. utterly neutral or benign statements.
