For generations of Black workers, federal government jobs have provided a path into the middle class. The Trump administration's workforce cuts are now throwing that sense of stability up in the air.
Federal work shaped a Black middle class. Now it's destabilized by Trump's job cuts

I will just put this out there. If all the senators who are saying they want to block this bill really wanted to badly enough they could force Schumer's hand. This isn't 'if Mike Pence has courage'. A leader doesn't buck the overwhelming majority of his caucus. Doesn't happen.

Watching Hakeem Jeffries on the morning shows is a great reminder that the Democratic Party basically is starting from scratch.

And by “drugs” they mean vaccines and anti-depressants right?
Trump: "We're gonna spend hundreds of millions of dollars advertising how bad drugs are so that kids don't use them."

The mixing of activist leaders and elected Democrats is doing this argument a disservice. Activist leaders have to think about the safety of those they are leading. And frankly I’m not seeing a lot of elected officials showing the courage that would make me think they have our backs.
If you claim to be a leader but are too scared to lead, fine -- sit down and let someone else take your place. It is easy to be bold when there is no threat.

Now is a time for courage.

A few details would be very telling, like if the racial targeting was actually highly accurate. How do you acquire the phone numbers & how do you know people are Black? The first questions I would ask every single one of these people is whether they’ve ever had a Twitter account.
The FBI says it is aware of racist text messages being sent to African American and Black communities around the country, and that recipients "have now expanded to high school students, as well as both the Hispanic and LGBTQIA+ communities." www.fbi.gov/news/press-r...

Dems already did this on immigration and got painted as open border communist globalists anyway. This simply does not work. Dems need to have a back bone and actually argue from their differences with conservatives rather than bending over and adopting conservative lite positions because of polls.
growing chorus of “throw trans people to the wolves” from high profile libs is not shocking but it is certainly nerve-wracking lol
