1. 4 months ago, The Supreme Court gave families a right to opt out of LGBTQ+ education in schools.
Now, in Montgomery County, Maryland, where the case originated, the results are in.
Only 43 families out of 160,000 students have exercised that new right.

Why we're here, at its very simplest:
1. Big top-down push to make overt racism & sexism more acceptable & centre politics on them
2. Media views that movement as without agency, just *reacting* to failures of liberalism/ the left

This is a point where the media and many centrist types not treating rightists as agential works in their favour. They're *never* unreasonable, or at least never dismissed on that basis. Doing so would be be a category error, right wingers aren't the kind of beings that may fail to be reasonable.

abundantly clear that this administration takes “discrimination” to mean “any regard for minority communities” and treats “merit” as a synonym for “white (and preferably male)”
I’m struck by the Trump administration’s attempt to redefine equality as discrimination against white people. This is a deeply racist idea that *equal outcomes* must be unfair, assuming white people are naturally at the top of the hierarchy.

Here’s the thing about fascism: it’s actually a spiritual project. That’s why when you say “migration is great for the economy”, fascists don’t care. They think “well, the idea of racial purity is more appealing to my soul than a strong economy, so screw the economy”. That was Hitler’s argument.
Important always to remember that the people spearheading the hatred of “mass immigration” think that the ideal number of non-white immigrants in the country is zero.
