One protester outside the facility near the gate was just hit with chemical irritant pretty dead on. Protest medics took care of him, Broadview police just arrived and are transporting him to a local hospital. Said they’re going to take a battery report.

Agreed with the Cooler Heads here. This act of political violence may one day soon serve as pretext to justify federal occupation of progressive cities or even unaccountable militias imprisoning people of color without due process at impenetrable, inhumane black sites. Well, I sure hope not!

Not to be corny, but I have genuinely loved this aspect of Zohran and Brad Lander's dynamic. So much of this primary was so ugly and cynical, and they refused to give into that. I want more of this energy, all across the country.
