Defunding Libraries under Fascism is **not** fighting against Trump. But hey #lipservice has its benefits.

Meanwhile Mayor Johnson’s budget - you know, the “progressive one” that “taxes the rich” to give to CPD inflates that budget to over HALF of our total corporate fund. And continues to borrow to pay off misconduct settlements.

I know so many great people who are doing so much. If you are isolated from people who are trying their best, I can understand feeling like no one's doing anything, but really, you just need to find the people who are trying and try with them — or maybe encourage some new folks to try alongside you.

Excited to see this program continue! It’s helping thousands of families find financial security and allows families to put this money towards housing, healthcare, groceries or transportation without having to jump through hoops.
For the first time a U.S. county is making their guaranteed income program permanent.
The Cook County Board of Commissioners has unanimously approved $7.5 million to continue its guaranteed income program.
Each month over 3,000 households will get an unconditional $500.
