I feel like nobody should actually donate to Democratic anything until they grasp, with every arm for which they have their hands out, that none of us think the self debasing doormat strategy of the last few decades is what we need to double down on, like they did with this.

I love the idea of Defiant's having nose art like WW2 planes. So much so I use the idea on my STO Defiants. The famous "Hell's Wench" being my main, but also have "Flak Alley" and my grandfathers B-17 "Dead Man's Hand" (next to last B-17 lost over Europe).
Sister ships USS Zeus and USS Maverick lead the charge against a Dominion squadron during the opening stages of Operation: Return. As Flight II Defiants, they lacked the prototype's cloaking device. Both ships also featured unique "nose art," an affectation embraced by several Defiant crews.

Your plans are barely even schemes.
The Romulan political system has never been geared towards creating political parties in the Federation or even Terran sense. Factions tend to be fluid and temporary and quite often personalistic or issue-based. Nonetheless during the early Third Republic a few broad factions had emerged.
