🤼College wrestling starting up and it's time for the new pinned thread of pins.

#17 Braxton Amos (Wisconsin) almost got the fall on Drew Blackburn-Forst (NDSU) in the 1st. DBF survived til the 3rd and actually tightened up the score with a big throw but got caught trying a salto and got stuck.
Imagine being TNA and thinking you were in a position to take people out of your crowd.
Banner week for TNA....... as usual 9 times out of 10 for all the wrong reasons.

He was one of the most reliable TNA match reporters, by the way.

FWIW I actually think we misframe a story like this if we ask "Does the President really not know basic facts about medicine and health or is he hiding something from the public?" The answer is both.
The same president who claims to have "aced" a "very advanced test on mental acuity" also doesn't know what an MRI is, or even what specific part of his body doctors were examining when he got one.

Totally checks out.

65 years ago on Nov. 14, little Ruby Bridges was escorted into an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. Norman Rockwell, renowned for blissful depictions of Americana, did this remarkable painting for Look magazine. Printed as a double page, over-size spread, it's his masterpiece.

Trump went all the way to the Supreme Court to withhold food from vulnerable Americans.

Now, he’s firing a worker for laying out the facts: Republicans were using hunger as a political weapon.

Democrats are going to fight back for Ellen, and all federal workers.

I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

And for cheap! A clock and a gold bar? You're the President of the goddamn United States! If you can't have any ethical core at least have some standards!
It’s wild that you can just openly bribe the President of the United States with chunks of gold to get
whatever you want, it’s fine, you don’t have to hide it, just say “I am bribing the President with gold,” zero consequences.
"It was tough to beat Apple, but the Swiss did it." said one administration official.

How the Swiss convinced Trump to drop tariffs with gifts of a Rolex desk clock and a 1 kg gold bar.

Probably Steve Jackson (GURPS), followed closely Kevin Siembieda and Erick Wujcik (Palladium); would've been late middle / early high school for me. Being exposed to a smaller number of games - but a lot of books in the same lines - probably a help here.
Conversation with @deadlyfredly.bsky.social has me trying to remember the first time I consciously remembered the name of an RPG designer who wasn’t Gygax. Embarrassingly, I am pretty sure it wasn’t until college, after I’d been playing for years and had been exposed to many games.

I would say it’s shocking, but with Miller-Meeks, this is just business as usual.
