I don’t know what needs to happen to get it through peoples skulls that ICE is not beholden to anyone but the president and his inner circle. Wealthy, police, white. They do not give a shit!!
A friend recently told me that they didn’t think ICE would deploy tear gas in well to do neighborhoods with a high density of white people. I understood their thinking, but disagreed. Today, they gassed Lakeview. Nothing is off limits to these people.

If the FBI shows up at your door, and doesn’t have a warrant, you are permitted to refuse to answer questions until you talk to your lawyer. You are not required to let them in the house without a warrant.
Apparently Trump is now sending the FBI to the homes of innocent protestors, in part to find out who is behind the "criminal conspiracy" arranging these protests.
The real reason is obviously the chilling effect on free speech for those attending.

Polls show over half the country thinks Trump is a dangerous dictator. That’s not an equivocal sort of metric. How horrendous does it have to get before people wake up? Still looking at you, Republicans in Congress.

They are in this to hurt people and play Call of Duty on our streets, deploying chemical weapons on our neighbors as if they’re pressing L1.

Exactly! In South Carolina we had the much loved NatureSCene. I learned so much from brilliant programs like The Story of English and NOVA. When I moved to Northern Connecticut I was amazed and delighted that I could actually watch the venerable WGBH Boston right there!
