To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest. To live fully is to be always in no-man’s-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh. To live is learning to die over and over again in each moment. ― Pema Chödrön

As the US hits a 33-year high in measles infections, there is now a "race" to find a treatment for the disease.

One pharma company "is banking on a continuing decline in vaccination rates to fuel a need for measles treatments—and in turn, more investor interest"

The Race to Find a Measles Treatment as Infections Surge
The measles vaccine was so effective the disease was considered eliminated in the U.S., but a resurgence of outbreaks is spurring a need for drugs.

The LA fires highlight a deep injustice: formerly incarcerated firefighters, who risked their lives battling wildfires for pennies, are barred from using that same experience for a stable career post-release. They deserve pardons.

Friendly reminder that people get sick and die literally because you couldn’t keep your sick ass home or at least put on a mask 🙃 please be safe for yourself but also the rest of us. I’ve been in the vicinity of too many wet coughs recently. If you don’t worry about losing David 💔 think of Tyler 😭

David Tennant has approximately a 6% chance of someone infecting him with COVID this weekend at Comic Con.

COVID is a serious vascular disease. Damage is long-term. 6% is unacceptable.

Any time you see an article frame something as "took action against transgender sports," do more digging.

75% of the time, whatever they are talking about also bans trans people from bathrooms/medical care/targets trans adults.

Sports is just a way to frame it as morally acceptable.
Why is everyone focusing on the trans sports stuff in the Gavin Newsom Charlie Kirk interview and not the part where he's mad about the Dems supporting trans prisoners getting healthcare or appearing to back Kirk on a full ban on trans youth healthcare????

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

Still thinking about Newsom. For a Democratic leader to consent to a framework that portrays trans people as a group that is trying to take something away from other people is flatly unforgivable. It is what the right does. And a Democrat who will do it to one group will do it to any group.

As a former Fulbright Scholar (in Chile), I personally understand how terrifying this is. U.S. citizens around the world & foreign nationals in the U.S. — all Fulbright Scholars — have now had their incomes eliminated & are stranded.

DOGE is an illegal, criminal operation that must be shut down.
Just got an email from the Fulbright Association. As of right now, funding has been cut off to 12,500 US citizens currently abroad and and more than 7,400 foreigner scholars and students in the United States

The entire economy of this area is about to collapse. Paychecks are stopping. Careers are ruined. Taxes are about to plummet. Yet no one seems able to stop this madness.
