This should have been the conclusion in *2016*.
If the US system remains trapped in an endless knife fight between a party of good government and a party of nihilistic governance then Europeans need to accept that the US will no longer be a stable partner long after Trump is gone
I'd just like to point out that we spent an entire shipment of air defense interceptors' worth of money on new signs for a name change that isn't even legally the name of the DoD.

Ukraine is currently experiencing rolling blackouts from Russian strikes, btw.

The solution is well known and used by Turkey on Nov. 24, 2015.
“Deep concerns” are useless.
The other NATO countries must act in the same way as soon as this happens again. Otherwise, russia will continue and go further.
Such a response is key to credible deterrence.

/5 Put another way, this is on Americans, not just the people who lead them. A truly “freedom-loving” people would not endure this and would not have developed a political culture so encrusted with servile deference to authority that permits it. A free people would find it revolting.

1. We send enemies to brutal foreign labor camps.
2. We decide who enemies are.
3. We may decide you are an enemy based on a secret informant, or our view of your tattoos.
