Honestly there’s a weird thing you see a lot on the left where being for trans rights is one of the biggest shibboleths, something people pay endless lip service to, but then the same people dismiss any attempt to actually prioritize our rights as a bougie distraction.

It annoys me when nominal support for LGBT rights is used instrumentally to push for clout or unrelated goals. But I *really* hate it when it’s treated as basically a cringe bourgeois affectation, whether it be the right, left, or center that’s pulling out that old canard.
