1/ Hands down the most stressful thing about quitting one job and starting another is whether I’ll have continuity in my medical care. So far my new insurance has said that it won’t pay for three medications I’ve taken for years.

this has to be coupled with the things that *don’t* count as a scandal: an array of harassment allegations, covering up Covid deaths, staying in a race after losing the primary, etc.
i cannot believe that “mamdani calls a close adult relative an ‘aunt’ even if they are not literally their parent’s sister” is what counts as a “scandal” these days

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

It is impossible to imagine people allowing this to go on (or even participating in it within the government) if he was ordering the murder without any process of French citizens or Brits or Australians on boats no matter what they were alleged to be doing.
