"A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department... ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith."
🚨NEW: A federal judge out of Oregon has issued a sweeping rebuke of the DOJ’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls.

The opinion released Thursday concluded that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warned that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

The Oregon Nurses Association and state Democratic lawmakers announced a bill Friday that would require hospitals and some federally funded primary care clinics to designate certain areas as off-limits to federal immigration enforcement agents, unless they have a valid judicial warrant.

The proposal is part of a sweeping package of bills that attempt to bolster the rights of immigrants targeted by the federal government’s deportation campaign, which Democrats have called a top priority for the current short session.

We need more of Fred Rogers' energy. We put a "We are *all* neighbors" flag out in front of the house recently.
Been thinking of his "look for the helpers" story lately. They're killing the helpers 😡

A thread of MAGA protesting with guns and not getting murdered for it...

I think it is great the right has realized we're long overdue to address the prevalence of guns in public spaces and how they dramatically increase the risks of confusion and escalation of situations that can have fatal consequences. I am sure we will be hearing about some bipartisan gun reforms.
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

AOC: "How rich is it that she is saying showing up to the scene of a protest with a legally owned weapon should be grounds for a person's death, execution at the hands of the state, by the same party and administration that praises Kyle Rittenhouse."

For those who can, here are links to donate directly to local efforts on the ground resisting ICE's terrorizing of Minneapolis. Let me know what you donated to where, and I'll match it until I get a panicked call from my bank!

One of the many reasons I love Brennan Lee Mulligan
Abolish ICE, prosecute and imprison its leaders, impeach and remove the President from office. This is the only sane reaction to a group of armed men kidnapping and gunning down our neighbors in the street.
As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

We have been told for years that regular mass shootings are a price we have to pay for the 2A to protect us from tyrannical govt. Today those exact same people who have told us this are applauding the *mere possession* of a permitted handgun being used to justify an execution by federal agents.

People *will* die because of this lunacy sowing doubt and mistrust of vaccines that have the weight of the unequivocal backing of scientific and medical communities for their safety and efficacy.
It will take *decades* to repair the damage this admin is doing to trust in science and medicine.

I think one of the things that non-evangelicals find most annoying about evangelicals is when they claim that other people can’t lead happy and fulfilling lives unless they believe in the same things that they do.

There can’t be any gun restrictions because we have to protect against federal government tyranny, and if kids get shot we just have to live with it. Also the President can send troops to cities because the federal government can do whatever it wants. These two ideas are consistent and reasonable.

Cool, cool. As someone who has been 2 payments away from completing the PSLF requirements for nearly a year because of the deferment due to the BS legal challenges, and works for a health care organization... Guess I'll just be fucked. Neat.
Here is Trump’s appalling, discriminatory attempt to subvert the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

“[T]he PSLF Program has misdirected tax dollars into activist organizations that not only fail to serve the public interest, but actually harm our national security and American values ….”

I think he's actually dumber than we think, and he literally doesn't understand the words people are using and too arrogant to ask.
I realized it as he's been going on about people with "disabilities" working at the FAA clearly thinking that means people with cognitive impairment. 1/2
