extremely depressing and unfortunately not surprising at this point how much of the response to the Bondi Beach mass shooting has been in terms of how do defend the state of Israel and not how to protect the lives of Jewish people
Our political class has for decades been repeatedly presented with a choice between calming down and being honest, or stamping on the accelerator and smashing through by whatever means are necessary. They have pretty much always chosen the latter. You can see what that would mean, in this case.
