I’m not a news source, I post about life. My only socials (LinkedIn doesn’t count, silly).
If you can, go hard on those food bank lists and angel trees this year.

I just did and maaaan, that felt amazing.

A man so grotesquely pathetic he needed to pay someone to develop a bot to compliment him.
Asked about his intellect, appearance and accomplishments, Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot consistently hailed Musk as “strikingly handsome,” raved about his “genius-level intellect” and ranked him as the No. 1 human, ahead of Leonardo da Vinci.
Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot ranks him as world history’s greatest human
Users on X shared examples of the “truth-seeking” AI chatbot praising its owner as “strikingly handsome,” a “genius,” and fitter than LeBron James.

I lasted a week with the crap show that is the iPhone 17.

Nothing about it is an improvement.

Everything about the interface is annoying. Some things are too responsive, others are not responsive enough, and it flat out doesn’t remember passwords.

And the camera somehow got harder to use.

I would rather donate 10 times the cost of that book to somebody worthwhile who runs against him.
Bad news: Senator John Fetterman's book isn't selling. We need to support our Democratic senators if we want to take back Congress in 2026. That means walking the walk and putting our money where our mouth is — even if we disagree sometimes.

Support the Fetterman Book Fund!

if you’re struggling on how; 2 misdemeanors = framing to deport = wrongful deportation based on bias = ethnic cleansing.
At some point we need to start calling this what it is: ethnic cleansing.

Since we’ve been using “🤡💩” as a response for years now, yeah…I agree with him on this. Small point of clarification, it’s not how ya look, Fuentes, it’s in everything you are.

Not a single “bruh, what?” was heard.
I’ve been thinking and it’s kind of exceptional that not a single person said “Hey now” after the piggy comment.

The most well-documented illegal quid pro quo in the entire political career of Donald Trump is him covering up the brutal murder of a Washington Post journalist for Mohammed bin Salman and immediately sending the Trump Organization into Saudi Arabia to get deals with MBS worth hundreds of millions

It’s always people with nothing to say who call their friends to chat in the middle of a workday.

I hear, “oh nothing, just thought I’d call.” more than any thing else 😆

A reminder that seven years ago almost to the day, the CIA determined that Mohammed Bin Salman ordered the killing of @washingtonpost.com journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

I hired and worked with Jamal for a year.

The people of Chicago won

Trump, Kristi Noem and ICE lost

Not only did Greg Bovino and his agents leave the city in disgrace

A judge ruled that they must release as many as 615 unjustly detained immigrants

Plus-they must stop pressuring immigrants to voluntarily leave

Never
Stop
Resisting

This would be an absolute horror show in this country, but I’ve always pondered about the idea of tiered government owned housing available in all neighborhoods. A crown corporation for profit venture. An apt where it’s expensive to buy would reflect that, but maintenance etc would be centralized.
There's not a shortage in housing and that narrative plays into the Republicans "illegal immigration" fear talk. We have approx 330m people in the USA (incl kids). There are approx 400-450m bedrooms in this country. We have a shortage of homeowners and an oversupply of renters.

Bitcoin now consuming as much energy as the entire country of Pakistan.

That seems bad.
The people at CBECI were kind enough to send me a copy of their updated Bitcoin power consumption data

At the end of 2024, Bitcoin's total consumption for 2024 *did* end up matching that of Pakistan. 2024 saw the biggest jump in power consumption ever. Absolutely wild stuff ->

It’ll never not give me the ick when advocates center community conversations around themselves.

Long term, their work end up being done w/ a narrow lens and we are left with sanitized bullshit like “white lady feminism”.

Advocacy is more often than not shutting up and handing the mic to others.

Fcking Waymo and crypto culture is so gross, BUT “In the wake of the cat’s death, Supervisor Jackie Fielder introduced a resolution calling on the state to give cities more power to ban Waymo autonomous vehicles.”

Earlier this year I bought a couple books and a few vintage maps. Quality of vintage maps was excellent (one awaits framing!), and the books were very well received.

If my endorsement means anything (I’m just a person, no skin in the game) know I feel confident recommending @mapcenter.com. 😎
I just did $1,002 in in-person sales this weekend. That's more than the Map Center has ever made in a single weekend while I've been the owner. I had hundreds of folks come through and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Doing my damnedest working through the weekend and making progress.
