For right-wingers who want to preserve any sort of public career in a post-Trump reality without being constantly haunted by their past disgrace, "Renee Good's murder is a bridge too far for me" is one of the easiest off-ramps in the world. I think we should take note of who declines to use it.
Sohrab Ahmari thinks that the officer was in danger and had a right to kill Renee Good.

He’s as bad as any MAGA.

When I say this book is terrible, I mean it as a compliment and using the definition “inspiring terror, sinister.” Begging everyone to read it and get back to me.
Happy book birthday to A Mouthful of Dust, standalone novella in the Singing Hlls Cycle, out today!

This time, Cleric Chih and Almost Brilliant the hoopoe memory spirit are investigating the town of Baolin, famous for its pork recipe and its famine.

I need the whole country to recognize that saying we are not in a constitutional crisis because Donald Trump has not openly defied a court order is like saying a man who throws things at you, threatens you, controls and belittles you, isn’t abusive because he hasn’t hit you. The “yet” is implied.

I used (maybe coined?) a phrase to describe a frustrating coworker that comes to mind when I read the news these days: incompetence feels like innovation to people who don’t understand the work.

Prediction: the Nаzi salute will become common within 2 years. RWers will half-аss it for plausible deniability, memeify the backlash, then start fully doing it "as a joke" "to troll the libs" "for being hysterical enough to think we were doing it in the first place"

Today, Tituba is often portrayed as the sole non-white individual embroiled in the Salem witch trials. However, several other enslaved women and men were unfortunately drawn into the conflict as the panic wore on. Check out our blog to learn about two such individuals, Candy and Mary Black.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO
