This is what I have lived my entire life in Europe. Why I never moved to the US, been offered many jobs, but the lack of proper health care, and the thought of my children being killed by some gun loon in school, kind of put me off. Proper health care is a human right, not a luxury.

Its a scandal that hospices have to rely on charity for most of their funding. What we need is a publicly funded & fully resourced hospice system within the NHS.

This document is the product of a broken administration, motivated by cynicism, immune to human decency, with a weak-to-non-existent understanding of the policy area they wish to legislate in.
And that's it. Overall impressions are
- there's still a surprising lack of detail
- lots of new work for officials but unlikely to lead to much change on the ground
- refugees will still live here rest of their lives but will struggle even more than before to integrate

Coverage of the refugee proposals demonstrates why we have such a broken political system. Endless focus on left-wing anger and right-wing support. Basically nothing on whether the reforms will work. They will not, which is why we'll still be here having the same debate in three years.

This change would ensure health and social care workers with Long COVID can access the financial support they need.

It is chronic underfunding, not management, that has caused the NHS to struggle in recent decades.

Until we have a fairer system that reduces wealth inequality via proper taxation of the super rich, public services will crumble and people will become poorer and sicker.
