Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone.

I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

Found a version of this mossy guy in an old sketchbook tonight. One fresh piece of watercolor paper & 2+ hours later I found myself with a nearly complete piece.
That doesn't happen often!

(If I have a frame, this one will come with me to next week's show #CelebrateVermont in South Burlington.)

Myles saw my gryphon drawing at Studio Place Arts in Barre VT, and was inspired to make a version of his own in class. I was so chuffed that I sent him a print of mine, along with a note.
Well yesterday I came home to this absolutely marvelous letter and I'm on cloud 9.
A hand-written letter from a fan who met my gryphon drawing while taking art lessons at Studio Place Arts in Barre. Myles thanked me for the print I sent, and asked how I come up with my ideas, why did I name it Serenade, how many pieces of art do I have, etc.! Also wants to know if Serenade is a boy or a girl. Included a drawing of an axolotl. Young artist in blue t-shirt and short brown hair stands in front of an easel with his teacher.
