As we're about to hear a whole lot more about autism and vaccines, the great @zachweinersmith.bsky.social has already pointed out the only relevant relationship between the two.

11 million out of 300 million people is not a big ask, you can do it. Take the quoted post and copy it or make your own version, ask your family and friends to join.

We only need 3.5% of the US population to commit to a general strike and to make the oligarchy kneel. Let’s get it done by May. #3E
If you want a general strike we need at least 10 million people to commit to ensure a successful action.

The numbers are still too low. Use a burner email and name if needed to sign.

The problem is that people like Matt *know* what the next step is, they *know* that it involves really bad shit you can't talk about publicly, but every last one of these mediocre cishet white dudes want to rush straight to civil war, but are *absolutely* not imagining themselves on the front line.

Ok, @chriswarcraft.bsky.social -- I have to ask. You've got a Lich Lord Venethrax profile picture, I'm also a Warmachine fan. Did you ever use Conflict Chamber to put a Warmachine list together?

It's time to finally, maybe, perhaps, begin to trust that Democratic leadership, and Harris in particular, know what they are doing.

The generational shift happened, and it was executed flawlessly.

Both ballot initiatives in Wisconsin called for "No" (the option pushed by the Democrats), and are up 15 points with 78% reporting.

Looking at the map, while the obvious GOP strongholds are there, they're not as strong in rural WI as would be expected.

This should probably be concerning for Trump.

It's 89 days until the election. Trump's only campaign stop this week is in Montana -- a state he won by 16 points last time and is only worth 3 electoral votes.

What's going on here?

This morning I'd just like to mention, for no reason, that I'm a literal doctor of stopping bad shit from going out in software, and most software companies don't have named roles for what I do.

DocuSign? What is the AI product here, exactly, AI-driven signature forging?
DocuSign now says they'll be using your data* to train AI. *Anonymized. But that's not really a thing.

DocuSign makes software to sign documents online. All types of contracts and other docs use this service now.

Just trying to air out some thoughts on the election, as it appears at the end of February, at least. Especially with regards to some fairly persuasive pessimism going around.

Something that often gets glossed over is that, really, we don't have as much data to work with as we'd like. There have been *three* national elections since 2016. Lots of narratives get spun, but it really looks more likely that 2016 was the fluke, and the rest is just regression to the mean.
On a very deep level, many reporters and pundits have failed to accept that the Trump era is largely a story about GOP electoral losses.

On today's pod, @juliaazari.bsky.social and I dig into the bizarre erasure of Biden-Dem voters from our discourse.

I'm reminded of a conversation I had during my PhD with a friend in the same program who was much more focused on machine learning than I was. I asked about how IP worked with regard to large-scale trained data. He shrugged and moved on. Doesn't look like anything is changing anytime soon.

Just a reminder that while there's a lot of doom and gloom going around about this year's election, we heard a lot about a "red tsunami" in 2022 right before the worst performance of an opposition party in a midterm election in twenty years.
