On both right and left, there's anger about the recent assessments of Russia's threat to the UK and the rest of Europe, and about the need for us to prepare to meet it. There's a lot I could say here (as my students know), but most of it boils down to two things. 🧵

The Free Press's take on climate change is not news, it's polluter propaganda--a foreboding sign for climate coverage at CBS News.
To understand how Bari Weiss might approach climate coverage at CBS, I read every climate article the Free Press has published.

Almost every one reinforced a common fossil fuel industry talking point—that climate change is exaggerated, that solutions don't work, and that fossil fuels = freedom
Bari Weiss vs. climate change
At The Free Press, Weiss consistently rebrands tired fossil fuel talking points as courageous, rebellious dissent.

I agree with JD Vance’s last statement—that we can only have a world free of political violence when we work to dismantle the sources of that violence.

I personally suggest that JD Vance look in the fucking mirror.
In a Hitleresque speech, JD Vance says there can be no unity with the left and vows to use the government to dismantle non-profit NGOs and liberal civil society who he says promote violence and terrorism.

Undermining the Fed to get lower rates now is like ripping the batteries out of your smoke alarm because it’s beeping. It’s quiet for a bit. Then your house burns down. Credibility anchors expectations; expectations anchor inflation.

So MAGA could only spare a few weeks to fight for children who were sex trafficked & abused. They’re now bored of the topic without getting justice for the victims but no one on the left is surprised b/c Nationally we’ve known about Trumps involvement since 2018. Maga has no moral standards.

Rahm Emanuel is pathetic & weak. I for one, a moderate liberal, will never donate or get out the vote for a man who doesn’t have the spine to stand up for transgender children who’ve been under attack for 10 yrs now. They’ve been beaten to death in their school bathroom & that
j&erk plays politics.
