Reading for awards?
Here’s my eligibility (a couple of stories still to come in Nov and Dec). If you only have time to read one story, the one I’m most hoping people will keep in mind is “Through the Machine.” Thanks. 🙂
A reminder that you can find all my 2025 eligible work right here: www.pacornell.com/2025-awards-.... Thank you for keeping my stories in mind when nominating or voting for awards.

Media manufacturing consent for limiting who and where we can protest?
Paywalled but looks like absolute nonsense

OPINION: Protests are publicity stunts. How do we tell the good ones from the bad?

Agreed!

Unveiling the cover for THE DRAGON HAS SOME COMPLAINTS!

Garrodigh is a curmudgeonly three-headed dragon who pretends to be tame so he can eat for free at the local dragon-riding academy. Unfortunately, the rider he's assigned to is... a lot.

Coming Summer 2026 from DAW (US) and Arcadia (UK)!

Remember that time I “Jurassic Parked” a dragon and then threw in some Edith Piaf just to prove to my teenaged daughter that I could? Well now you can read that for free. 🙂 (Now with cool art by @thaisibir.bsky.social!)
"Fire & Flight" by @cornellwriter.bsky.social now free to read online!

Any event that doesn’t make itself accessible (virtual options! Mask mandates!) has a will issue, not a skill issue.

(This is a sub post to my city’s local writers event who can’t possibly be asked to make their event accessible now even though they did for 2 years with minimal issues)
Making events accessible in an ongoing pandemic is so easy

Actually somebody please do this.
(Dogs Are Good, Actually would rock as a Worldcon theme. Put dog astronauts and corgi wizards everywhere. Invite some dog trainers to give talks on how you train a corpse dog or a rescue dog. Do panels on dogs in SFF. Build a small memorial for Laika. You know I’m right.)
