I write about dogs, cats, and other animals, and sometimes about cocktails and travel. Love to read, travel, and be outdoors. Tea maven. Collector of shoes and purses. Slave to a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She/her.
You just died.

The sixth picture in your phone gallery is what killed you.

The Night Guest has been longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award!

"Despite being firmly within the psychological horror genre, The Night Guest operates with literary restraint: spare prose, precise imagery, and a calculated withholding of resolution."

Let's have this be not a first, not an only, but a start.
In the US, Catholic sisters return Wisconsin land to Ojibwe tribe in a historic first. The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration have transferred a lakefront property to the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa for the same $30,000 they paid in 1966.

If today's a slow one, how about a stroll along our planet's longest mountain chain?

No, not Himalaya. And not the Andes either.

This one's...65,000km long.

(That's nearly a fifth of the way to the Moon!)

How about a 2-day journey (first part today, second tomorrow) along some of it?
