Popped into the vets yesterday and saw this butterfly dog toy (of all things). Thought Bob would like it as it’s got crinkly wings. He loves it so much, we have to hide it to get him to eat! Sadly for us it has THREE SQUEAKERS 🙉

I was thinking this morning how grateful I am for clean tap water whenever I need it. I lived in Istanbul in the 80s when the water was cut off regularly and with a small baby, that was tough. I really recommend Elif Shafak’s new novel ‘There are Rivers in the Sky’ which celebrates water perfectly.

That’s not trolling the UK govt anymore - that’s straight up campaigning for a political party in a foreign country.

It’s serious.

Jeez. This is an outrageous post from Elon Musk. If anyone was in any doubt about where his sentiments will lie at the next UK general election look no further than this. The Prime Minister, every cabinet member & Labour MP need to join @bsky.app now

The timing of the 'revelation' of a minor conviction by a cabinet minister is very telling.

It comes on the day the first Labour bill, which was the responsibility of Louise Haigh, became law.

The media clearly held it back until yesterday to cause trouble. We cannot let the media go unchallenged

An example of double standards, given the resignation today.

Badenoch not held to any level of accountability over her admission of hacking and MP's website.

She broke the law. No consequences what so ever. Stayed in her job after it was revealed.

Will she now do the right thing and resign now?

And still watching the news now all anyone is talking about is small boats

This is 30,000 of the nearly one million people we are talking about here

It’s deliberate and it’s maddening
Watching @edconway.bsky.social dissect the latest immigration figures and it’s remarkable what a tiny percentage of the number comes from people on small boat crossings

Completely disproportionate to the attention given to this by the media and many politicians

Democracy relies on a well-informed public. It is one thing to expect people to educate & critically think for themselves. It's another to make it harder for them. It's a different degree of manipulation altogether to fill that space with misinformation. It takes a special degree of arrogance...

Kind of wild how a load of people think they are going to get a general election because they signed an online petition and Starmer isn't as popular at the moment as he was on day 1.
It wasn't that long ago that this happened 👇

Your regular reminder that the vast, vast majority of migrants to the UK do not, in fact, have access to benefits and this is very clearly stated on BRPs as “no recourse to public funds”.

These are the last two roses I have seen in 2024. The one on the left was on 5th November and shone out of the darkness on an early morning dog walk in my local area. The one on the right was in the Alhambra palace gardens on 12th October. Been a good year for late roses I think. #rosewednesday

The guy who set up that petition and thanks Elon Musk for his support of it, tells Kay Burley that “2.5 million people can’t be wrong”
Sorry what?

History and reality perform a massive eye roll.
Agreement (particularly with foreign bots) does not turn your opinion into fact.

This is what happens, show a video of someone carrying knives on a train, blame Starmer or Sadiq Khan and say "welcome to modern Britain" and wait for the outraged responses. They of course don't see the Walmart, Vine City sign on the door. But it gives them something to be angry about

Looking back through photos of a holiday this year in Menton and came across these I took of a Fiat 500 of dreams with a striped canopy and wicker seats. Probably the most impractical yet chic car I have ever seen or will ever see again.
