My favourite is when they email you, you go to the website and enter the email THEY sent the email to and you get ‘email not recognised! 😤

It is still, at the age of 66, one of the most captivating and magical things I have ever seen. Those glass rods mimicking the water and the jumping fish are so beautifully imagined. Thrilling at any age.

He sounds brilliant! Wishing him all the best for the surgery and any future treatment he may need.

I thought ‘sending to Coventry’ was more in the girls’ toolbox of psychological torture, quite surprised that boys used it too! It’s awful to be on the receiving end, trying to pretend you don’t care. A colleague did it to me and I insisted on moving offices to take the power away from her.

Thank you for this, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Agreed. Bit more empathy would be nice - she turned up, she didn’t hide in the toilets and she has earned my respect for that. Oh, and she is under no obligation to reveal why she was crying.

Wasn’t it great? Loved the characters and the plot was really dark but hugely enjoyable. Beautifully filmed too.

Is there any more annoying sound than that high pitched whine in one’s ear hole? 😫

Very cute ear and tail action 🥰

What, you didn’t order a cute Labrador pup in an ice cream?

Ooh I haven’t seen the rose garden as it was just being planted last time I was there (ages ago). I’ll have to pay a visit 😊

So true! All this nonsense about ‘wanting our country back,’ I don’t even know what that means. We’ve always benefitted from being a diverse country and I hope we continue to do so.

Perfectly articulated. People have short memories when it comes to those horrendous riots. It was terrifying to watch and difficult to accept what was happening before our very eyes. She added fuel to an already volatile situation on a public forum. It wasn’t a chat in a pub with like- minded mates.

Absolutely gorgeous 🤩

Maybe this is where we’re going wrong with modern parenting? You learn resilience and the much talked about grit through the harsh realities of life. Still feel a pang for poor Mini-Bert though who must be somewhat bemused by his change of fortune!

Just when you think Jeff could get no cuter, you see him on a boat 🥹

Gotta love a casual kickabout on a bank holiday.

Charming cup and saucer 😊

She is so biased but actually, she did push back. Said the BBC had contacted their newly ‘acquired’ councils and they all said they had no employees responsible for DEI. He blustered about initiatives like ergonomic chairs and free vapes but could not give a number for potential cost savings 😏

If you get the chance to read that novel, please do, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Men have always been scared of strong women who have knowledge they fear gives them power - literally nothing has changed over the centuries and that’s chilling.

It seems to me, given how far the general perception of women seems to be regressing, it won’t be too long until the elderly, outspoken and/or non-conforming woman is labelled a witch and drowned or burned. I’ve just read The Book of Secrets by Anna Mazzola set in Rome in 1659 - has much changed?

I wanted to find it riveting but it lost me in the middle. I think it was important that it was a white boy despite all of the criticism that it’s not white boys who commit knife crime (obviously false). The message I took from it was this: forget the lazy stereotypes, it can happen to any family.

It’s soul sappingly toxic isn’t it. The sheer nastiness and lack of empathy coupled with the childish, knee jerk rhetoric has reached new lows.
