The Yule cat, Jólakötturinn, is a huge, vicious cat from Icelandic folklore that is said to lurk in the snowy countryside during the festive season and eat people that do not receive new clothing to wear before Xmas Eve. (Or, more boringly, eat the food of people without new clothes.) Good morning!

Rewatching Shane Meadows’ Made Of Stone for a thing. It’s more love letter than documentary and works within those parameters but, man, that 2012 Heaton Park version of Fool’s Gold is utterly astonishing.

I like to think that this map of all the regional names for woodlice in the UK could also be a map illustrating the new tribes of humans to be found on the same landmass after The Great Digital Crash and ensuing breakdown of society.

One of the nuttiest bits of Bob Dylan stage banter I've seen in a bit. He gets this Detroit crowd all excited for Motown anecdotes, only to reveal it's just a needlessly involved setup for the dumbest joke you've ever heard. Genius.
