I find Fate has more to do with Momentum of events and decisions made further back in the timeline. Some that we weren't even involved with. To change fate with magic is to try to understand these moments in the past and nudge them to the outcome we seek. However it can be a lot to steer.

There's a couple reasons so many IWW songs are set to the tunes of hymns and one is that the Salvation Army Band would show up and try to stop workers organizing by playing hymns to drown out speeches, so the Wobblies came up with words so they could sing along. SA has been trash all along.
It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

I don't talk on here a lot about my own mental health struggles, but I wanted to share this reply thread explaining a technique from my therapist that has saved me time and time again:
The understanding (and acceptance!) that it's possible for my feelings to be valid while my thoughts are false. For example, feeling loney/rejected is a common thing for me, and it's valid that I feel that way, but it *doesn't* mean that "no one cares about me."

Misogyny is part of my regular experience in magical spaces, often from people who think they’re allies and are quick to blame the “real bad guys” over there. Often people don’t *recognize* their misogyny. If it were easy to recognize and fix, it wouldn’t be such a problem.

there is nothing more Venusian than "desiring understanding and being capable of it" (Symposium 203d), & that is why Venus exalts in Pisces. reading the classics alongside the texts is crazy cuz u start to rlly understand why they chose certain planets for certain signs, etc. the framework is solid
