This story is entirely fiction and I am always disappointed when people repeat it and leave off the best part where after getting kicked down the stairs Crowley becomes a vampire hunter. Why leave off the best part? Ppl should really read the original story and not just repeat something from TikTok
Tangentially, my favorite Yeats story is that Aleister Crowley showed up at the London Temple of the Golden Dawn, demanding admittance as an arch magus or some such, and Yeats, in full wizard robes, literally kicked him down the stairs.

Misogyny is part of my regular experience in magical spaces, often from people who think they’re allies and are quick to blame the “real bad guys” over there. Often people don’t *recognize* their misogyny. If it were easy to recognize and fix, it wouldn’t be such a problem.
