A Brown-striped Octopus (Amphioctopus burryi) mostly buried under sand. Only its eyes and the thin ends of four arms are sticking out. What is sticking out is held pretty close to the sea floor. Its head is red, and its arms start reddish but the tips are greenish, but that is probably the tinge from the water and they are likely closer to a light brown to match the sand.

This #FossilFriday, meet Dunkleosteus, which lived ~360 million years ago. Scientists think it was one of the first large jawed vertebrates in the ocean & was an aggressive predator. The bones in its jaws served as cutters, rubbing against each other like self-sharpening shears.

A couple of renders to show experiments with hair made using curves in Blender. I was very used to the particle system and couldn't quite get the hang of this, but guys, it looks like this has a huge number of options.
