Of course, a Blockbuster eventually put it out of business.

Mine was in Rosebud, Texas, where the local hardware store guy had basically walled off a corner of his building for rentals. Ratty carpet, plywood shelves, terrifying horror boxes. The best.

I have said this repeatedly on my podcast at this point but my video store had the exact same deal and it was a Film School.

THUNDERBOLTS! Look, it's ... fine. Much more entertaining, coherent and well-shot than Marvel of late. Even emotional at times. Still that kind of listless "but what will they *do* with any of this" feeling.

Have to re-up this post-finale. Episodes from the new team had more verve, as well as reverence for the original show, but boy if the whole "Daredevil, but MCU" concept isn't just a huge wash.
So ... Daredevil: Born Again kind of sucks, right? It's the Netflix show with a coat of paint. I haven't seen additional screeners, but wasn't the point of an MCU version it could be more ... superhero-y? More comic characters and heightened action? I don't know what we're doing here.
