Crypto is a scam.
When the House and Senate marked up stablecoin legislation, we raised all of these concerns - their anonymity, their nearly perfect design for money laundering. All the barn doors were left wide open. It’s used for crime because that is its purpose. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/07/t...

On one hand, the Supreme Court didn't overturn gay marriage, but on the other they're letting Texas keep their gerrymandered map. So could go either way with a birthright citizenship decision.

Starting to think being able to bet on everything in life might not be good.
Oh, no it’s even worse than that. I was in a pitch meeting for one of these that said “imagine getting to place a side bet on your kid’s soccer game”. Their plan was to bet on people completing everyday activities
Fuckin people watching Netflix making prop bets on what minute of the episode we’re first gonna see Vecna. People betting on whether it’s gonna be a Toyotathon commercial or an Activia commercial. Just a little QR code in the bottom corner of every show asking you to bet on everything.

The U.S. made its own kamikaze drone.

What's that saying about the definition of insanity?
Breaking on MS NOW: The Trump Justice Department is considering seeking another indictment of James Comey this week in the Eastern District of Virginia. It might be going before a grand jury today.

This would be in lieu of appealing the ruling from last week dismissing the case against Comey.

This "if we're mean enough they'll be scared into giving up" theory has been tried countless times in history and it always leads to a never-ending cycle of increasing brutality.
“Should we follow the Geneva Conventions?” Pete Hegseth asked in 2024.

It’s almost as if there were signs!

So guys in the Caribbean on boats who may or may not be trafficking cocaine get bombed, and survivors in the water get bombed again, but someone at the center of "one of the largest and most violent drug-trafficking conspiracies in the world" gets pardoned?
Juan Hernández, a former president of Honduras, was found guilty by a US jury last year of conspiring to import cocaine, via one of "most violent drug trafficking conspiracies in the world"

Trump intends to pardon him.

This is straight-up murder and all of the "anti-war" people who said we shouldn't elect Harris got us directly to here.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

Put it in The Louvre of US political history. The look on Mamdani's face is priceless.

During the campaign Trump threatened to take over New York City if Mamdani was election. Now look at what he's doing. He's all bluster.

Congresswoman Grijalva wasn't sworn in for 7 weeks because she was the single vote needed for the Epstein files discharge petition to pass. Now that it has, almost all other House Republicans voted for it. If one more had done that at the start, this vote could have happened months ago. Cowards.
The House has passed a resolution to release the Epstein files.

The bill will now head to the Senate.
